why i follow the monks
When I speak about monks, I think about buddhist monks. What they represent to me is connectedness to nature and spirit, simple living, a habit of turning the gaze inwards, kindness, deep compassion for every living being, unconditional love and sageness.
Those are my deepest values that I want to embody and bring into this world.
Therefore I enjoy following the monks.

MY ROOTS
Hi, I’m Lou!
I grew up in the west of Germany. As none of our childhoods, mine also wasn’t ideal and I went through bigger and smaller things, that left me with wounds, questions, unresolved trauma and a lot of baggage, that I took into adulthood.
As being an artist, is “deadly art”, I decided to study marketing and forget everything right away. The traditional business world and marketing was not for me, but I was not “a quitter”, so I finished my studies.
Also, what else was I meant to do?
What I was good at was listening to peoples stories, giving them new perspectives, seeing them as who they are, feeling their emotions, helping others, understanding nature, connecting to animals and plants, being wild, being rebellious (aquarian sun) and so on. But those are useless qualities in a business world. And apparently business was the only way to go.
I thought.
So I forced my passions in my free time and I devoured books over books and podcasts over podcasts about psychology, the art of healing, nature, spirits, plants, nutrition.
As I did not see myself doing business, I decided to go somewhere, where I wouldn't need a lot of money. I went to the Ecuadorian Amazon and started working in an animal rescue center. In the middle of the jungle, without electricity, surrounded by pure nature and lots of monkeys.
After a year, I had to renew my visa, so I went to Germany. And then covid hit. The boarders were closed. My money was getting less and less.
I decided to move to Berlin to work in a Marketing agency and give it a chance. A couple of weeks in, I knew, this was not for me. But again, I wasn’t a quitter and so I continued. And here I was:
Burned out at 25.
It was a tough time. But this burnout was a pure blessing. Not just have I had the chance to finally look at all my childhood stuff and get rid of some of that heavy baggage I was carrying around, I also had a reason to really stand my ground (learned to quit), do what I want, figure out who I really am and what my purpose is.
And it led me to this. Supporting people. Communicating with spirits. Spreading love. Helping to heal our beautiful planet. With all that I was given.
And it turns out, that my gifts and even my history are actually very useful and I’m happy to share all that with you and support you on your path in the best possible way. It is my heartfelt desire to help other people to connect more deeply with themselves and thereby find their happiness.
I am convinced, that we come to this planet exactly the way that we are meant to be and during our life and all the conditioning, we hide parts of ourselves and don’t allow ourselves to fully shine. I am here to support you in stepping back into your power and to together bring more love and compassion into this world.
Incredibly grateful ❤
Lou
